I'll make you an offer you cant refuse.

There is nothing inevitable about Military victory, even for forces of apparently overwhelming strength.  the Greeks At Marathon, Alexander against the Persian Empire, the success of the colonist  against  the British in the American Revolution, Napoleon over the Austrians in Italy .....  All offer dramatic  evidence to the contrary.  In the absence  of inspired Military leadership ....  the more powerful  side wears down the weaker.

In War , it is understood that you give your word of honor to do your duty -- that is -- stand and fight instead of running away  and deserting your friends.

When you keep your word despite desperately desiring to flee the screaming hell around you, you earn HONOR .

Combat is scary but exciting.                                                                                       You never feel so alive as being shot at without result.  You never feel so  Triumphant  as when shooting back --- with result.   You never feel  love so pure as that burned into your  heart by friends willing to die  to keep their word to you........... AND THEY DO.

SO REMEMBER A SOLDIER WHO HAS DIED FOR OUR FREEDOMS AND THOSE THAT ARE SERVING TODAY TO MAKE SURE THERE IS A FREEDOM FOR US TOMORROW.
